Meridian West Central College Simulation Manikins

The use of high-fidelity simulation manikins provides patient simulation for hands on practice to educate and improves the competency of our students. They will discover how to assess, create care plan for direct patient care in a mock real-world scenario under skills nursing coordinator. Thus, the patient simulation provides an excellent learning environment to reduce potential healthcare mishaps, accidents, and increase skill and confidence to practice.

MWCC’s nursing lab is equipped with an extensive inventory of simulation manikins where our students learn life savings skills, demonstrate their knowledge, and utilizing the technology of the simulation manikins. The nursing lab includes mid-to low–to high-fidelity realism manikins, full birthing Sim Mom which can give birth, hemorrhage, and simulate a variety of obstetrical complications. All (manikins) are excellent for practicing psychomotor and cognitive skills.

Meridian West Central College nursing students can apply their nursing skills and techniques, learn to build skill sets and confidence through role play in group settings as such is needed when treating patients.
